Abstract:
To constantly apply a proper tension stably to a weft.
The objective weft-tension controlling apparatus 10 of a shuttleless loom is provided with a pair of holding plates 16 and 18 supported by a supporting means in a state facing opposite to each other. A pressing force is applied to both holding plates 16 and 18 by displacing the holding plates 16 and 18 in the facing direction by respective controlling members 30 and 32. A friction force necessary for getting a required tension of a weft 14 is quickly applied by the friction force between the weft 14 held with the holding plates 16 and 18 and the holding plates holding the weft.
