A digital balance 1 includes a load cell 40 which converts a load applied from an article into an electric signal, a tray holder 31 which supports a weighing tray 2 in which the article is placed, and applies the load of the article to the load cell 40, a housing 4 which has bottom plates 5 formed from insulation members and stainless cover members 6 covering the load cell 40, a portion of the tray holder 31 closer to the load cell 40 and electrical equipment in such a manner as to pass the tray holder 31 through, and which is sealed at a predetermined waterproof level by sealing between the cover member 6 and the tray holder 31 in such a manner as to vertically move the tray holder 31, and a heat insulating cover 13 which is erected on the bottom plate 5 so as to cover the load cell 40 inside the housing 4.
