Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle weight estimation apparatus capable of estimating a vehicle weight during accelerating travel immediately after starting a vehicle.SOLUTION: In a vehicle weight estimation apparatus, an inclination sensor 4 detects an inclination θ of a vehicle 1 in a longitudinal direction in a stopped state of the vehicle 1, and a travel resistance calculation part 11 calculates vehicle resistance R based on the inclination θ of the vehicle 1. The vehicle state determination part 10 determines whether or not the vehicle 1 is in a travel state suitable for estimating a vehicle weight by a first vehicle weight estimation part 13. When the vehicle state determination part 10 determines that the vehicle is in the travel state suitable for an estimation processing of the vehicle weight, the first vehicle weight estimation part 13 calculates a vehicle weight W1 of the vehicle 1 based on first acceleration α1 and the travel resistance R detected by acceleration sensor 3, and first driving force F1 estimated by a driving force estimation part 12. A vehicle weight supply part 16 supplies the vehicle weight W1 as a vehicle weight estimation value We of the vehicle 1 to another processing unit 8.
