Abstract:
To suppress joint-by-joint variation in the joint strength of weld joints formed by resistance spot welding of a steel plate with an aluminum plate so as to obtain high joint strength stably.
In a weld joint 100 of a steel plate 110 with an aluminum plate 120, the smallest plate thickness tmin on the aluminum plate side is 20% or smaller of the plate thickness t2 of the aluminum plate 120 before welding; the residual area of the aluminum plate is 10-30% of the area of the aluminum plate before welding; and the area of melting solidified parts 130a and 130b of aluminum is 10% or smaller of the residual area of the aluminum plate. A method of producing the weld joint 100 is also provided.
