Title:
WELDING DEVICE FOR MAIN PIPE BODY AND BRANCH PIPE BODY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS57127579
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To perform titled welding of intricate saddle type curves three-dimensionally, automatically and precisely by providing a copying shaft for height and diametral directions and a shaft with torch oppositely to a table which rotates coincidently with the axial line of a branch pipe body and connecting these slidably in diametral directions by means of a connecting bar.

CONSTITUTION: A rotary table 5 is rotated by driving of a motor 10, and a copying shaft 7 and a torch shaft 8 are rotated along the circumference of a branch body 2 in a 180° relative position. The shaft 7 is maintained always in the adequate relative position by means of followers 17a, 17b and a spring 6b, and moves vertically in accordance with the groove height of a main pipe body 1. The vertical movements thereof are transmitted to the shaft 8 by a connecting bar 9, by which a torch 11 is moved vertically. The height displacements of this case are circularly symmetrical and therefore the height is effectively adjusted by copying on the opposite side. Even under the conditions under which copying members cannot be disposed around the leading end part of the torch 11, the torch 11 is acted to follow up the height displacement adequately. In the case of multilayer padding, the torch is set in the 1st layer aiming position and after rotation of one round, it is set in the 2nd layer aiming position by a rotating position signal.
