PURPOSE: To obtain a welding head with good workability by lowering a guide member, fitting a fitting part into a prepared hole of a work and raising it to supply a projection nut when aligning is carried out.
CONSTITUTION: The fitting part 44 of the guide member 40 is inserted and fitted into the prepared hole W1 of the work W by lowering of an electrode 26. After the projection nut N is positioned, the upper side electrode 26 is raised by operation of an actuator and then, the projection nut N is supplied. Since there is the positional deviation of the prepared hole W1, when the electrode 26 is again lowered, the tapered surface of the fitting part 44 of the guide member 40 is brought into contact with the open groove edge of torsion of the nut N which is moved to the arrow side by a component force by its cone angle and a guide projection of the nut N is coincident with the center of the prepared hole W1 to complete insertion.
