Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a welding material for welding dual phase stainless steel, having superior hot workability into wire rod and excellent in pitting corrosion resistance as well as in toughness in a weld metal part.
CONSTITUTION: This material is (1) a welding material having a composition which contains, by weight, ≥0.03% C, ≤1.0% Si, ≤1.5% Mn, ≤0.04% P, ≤0.003% S, ≤0.040% Sol.Al, 2.0-8.0% Ni, 24.0-26.0% Cr, 0-6.0% Co, 2.0-3.3% Mo, 1.5-5.0% W, 0.24-0.35% N, and ≥0.007% O and in which the value of PREW, represented by equation PREW=Cr+3.3(Mo+0.5W)+16N, and the value of Ph, represented by Ph=[Ni+Co+30(C+N)--0.6(Cr+1.5Si+Mo+0.4 W)+5.6]÷[Cr+1.5Si+Mo+0.4W-6], are regulated to ≥42.0 and 0.25-0.35, respectively, and (2) a welding material having a composition in which Ca or B is incorporated by 0.01-0.001% when the amount of Ni in the composition is >8.0-10.0% and which further contains, besides the above components, either or both of 0.2-2.0% Cu and 0.05-1.50%V.
