PURPOSE: To make sure control and recording of data and to facilitate operation and teaching by separating a timer from a welding machine to put it into a robot control part, unifying operations of a robot and welding, assigning numbers to a welding point and welding conditions and making a corresponding table to make a selection.
CONSTITUTION: Electric power is supplied to a welding gun 2 via a contactor 5 and a welding transformer 4 from a welding power source 12. A welding control unit 3 is fixed on an arm of a robot main body 1 and a robot controller 6 is made independent as a control box. The robot controller 6 is constituted of a robot control part 7 and a welding machine timer 8 and connected to the robot main body 1 and the welding control unit 3. When the robot control part 7 reads the corresponding welding conditions from a storage device in order of the number assigned to the welding point according to a working program and sends these to the welding machine timer 8, the welding control unit 3 performs welding corresponding to operations of the robot 1 and the welding gun 2 commanded by the robot control part 7.
