Title:
海底使用の湿式コアドリル装置
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP4446367
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet core drill for sea-bottom use that can always supply required water in spite of the change of rotating speed without being influenced by water pressure caused by sea depth by containing a pump fitted with an impeller direct-coupled to a drive shaft of an induction motor rotated at high speed, and supplying cooling water to a bit of the core drill. SOLUTION: A core drill body part is composed of a cooling water supply part 4, a pump part 5, a rotary joint part 6 and a cover part 7, and integrated after sealed to withstand seawater pressure. The drive shaft 9 of a motor body 8 is nonrotatably connected to an intermediate shaft 10 at the tip part. The impeller 11 is nonrotatably fixed to the rear end part of the intermediate shaft 10 through a key or the like, and the impeller 11 can be rotated together with the drive shaft 9 inside the pump part 5. Water with the pressure boosted by the rotation of the impeller is fed to a rotary joint 16 through a drain hole 15 and led into a hollow hole of the intermediate shaft 10 at the rotary joint 16 to supply cooling water to the bit.
