PURPOSE: To uniformly hold the contact state of a friction plate by unitedly fitting a reinforcing ring in the tip outer circumference of an outer cylinder and by obstructing the expansion caused by elastic deformation in the outside direction of diameter.
CONSTITUTION: When pressure oil is supplied to an oil pressure chamber 25 through a passing through hole 26 from an oil hole 27 formed in a transmission input shaft 11, a piston 19 is pushed out toward a retaining plate 16 side against the spring force of a returning spring 30. A drive plate 15 and a driven plate 37 are pressed against a stop ring 17 on a drum 13 side, and the rotation force of an input shaft 11 is transmitted to an output shaft 34 which is united with a spline cylinder 36 from a clutch drum 13 through plates 15, 37. A reinforcing ring 32 is shrinkage-fit for increasing rigidity to a ring fitting step 31 formed in tip outer circumference of the clutch drum 13. By centrifugal force or couple of force produced in the stop ring 17 and a pressing part 18 of the piston 19, elastic deformation by which the tip of the clutch drum 13 is expanded in the outside direction of diameter is obstructed.
