To provide wet process flue gas desulfurizing equipment which can promote the growth of crystals by enhancing the gypsum slurry concentration in a double decomposition reaction vessel without depending on the concentration of the magnesium sulfate introduced into the double decomposition reaction vessel and the concentration of slaked lime and quick lime, can improve the efficiency of recovering the gypsum in a gypsum recovering device and can contribute to the compactification of the double decomposition reaction vessel.
This equipment is provided with a hydrocyclone 7 constituted in such a manner that, when the concentration of the liquid withdrawn from the double decomposition reaction vessel 4 is lower than a set value, the underflow liquid increased in the concentration by introducing the liquid into the vessel and centrifugally separating the liquid is returned to the double decomposition reaction vessel 4 and the overflow liquid is introduced to a regenerated magnesium hydroxide recovering vessel 5.
