Abstract:
To provide a wet type nonwoven fabric excellent in heat resistance and electrolytic solution-holding property, and capable of reducing internal resistance of an electrochemical element, and a separator for an electrochemical element and a separator for an electrochemical double layer capacitor by using the same fabric.
This wet type nonwoven fabric contains a liquid crystalline polymeric fiber having ≥250°C melting point or thermal decomposition point, 0.3-2 mm mean fiber length and ≤1 μm fibrillated fiber at least in part, and is characterized by having 68-85% void rate. The separator for an electrochemical element and the separator for an electrochemical double layer capacitor by using the same fabric are also provided.
