Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable entire wheel alignment adjusting operation to be easy and efficient by providing a nut runner, a gear-lock tool, a sensor, and a traveling mechanism. CONSTITUTION:An adjusting device 20 is provided with a nut runner 22 which can be engaged, a gear-lock tool 24 which can be engaged to a compensator arm 6, a sensor for relatively positioning the nut runner 22 and the gear-lock tool 24, and a traveling mechanism 28 for moving the nut runner 22, the gear- lock tool 24, a bolt 8, and the compensator arm 6 while the nut runner 22 and the gear-lock tool 24 are engaged to the bolt 8 and the compensator arm 6 in one piece. Then, after the nut runner 22 and the bolt 8 are relatively positioned through a sensor 26, the bolt 8 is loosened through this nut runner 22. Then, while the nut runner 22 and the gear-lock tool 24 are engaged to the bolt 8 and the compensator arm 6, this compensator arm 6 is displaced through a traveling mechanism 28, thus enabling a trailing arm to be rocked and toe-in adjusting operation of a rear wheel to be performed automatically.
