To dispense with an engaging groove provided at a piston to assemble a boot so as to prevent the generation of a sealing failure by providing a plate brought into contact with the other end face of the piston, and a boot integrally connected to the plate so as to seal an opening part of a cylinder.
With a boot 5 assembled to a cylinder 2, sealing function is generated respectively between an outer flange part of a retainer 4 and an outer peripheral part of the boot 5, between the outer peripheral part 5a of the boot 5 and an end part 2c of the cylinder 2, between the other end part of the retainer 4 and an opening part 2b of the cylinder 2 and between an outer peripheral part of a plate 9 and an inner peripheral part 5b of the boot 5, and the interior of the cylinder 2 is sealed in a liquid-tight state. Since the boot 5 and plate 9 are integrally formed and the plate 9 is brought into contact with the other end face of a piston 3, there is no need to provide the piston 3 with an engaging groove for assembling the boot 5, so that there is no risk of a sealing failure.
