To provide a wheel cap capable of obtaining the power generating function, maintaining a cover member in a non-rotatable state even a vehicle is traveling at a high speed, utilizing the cover member to various kinds of displays, and preventing a wheel from being out of the rotational balance by a means for maintaining the cover member in a non-rotatable state.
The wheel cap 1 comprises a rotatable cap body 2, a cover member 3 and a generator 4. The rotatable cap body 2 is a member to be rotated together with a wheel 6a with an outer circumferential portion thereof mounted on the wheel 6a. The cover member 3 is a member which is rotatably mounted on the rotatable cap body 2 by a bearing 5 at a rotational center part to cover an outer surface of the rotatable cap body 2. The generator 4 generates the power by the relative rotation of the rotatable cap body 2 to the cover member 3. A blade part 16 to maintain the cover member 3 in a non-rotational state by utilizing the viscous resistance caused by the fluid therearound is provided on the cover member 3.
