Title:
WHEEL CYLINDER PISTON FOR DRUM BRAKE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3668401
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel cylinder piston for a drum brake, having an outer shape which is under formable in manufacturing and capable of being produced at a low cost.
SOLUTION: Since the sidewall of a shoe receiving member fitting hole 30 for mounting a shoe mounting member is formed into a knurled shape, deformation of projecting parts of a knurling 31 is generated laterally and absorbed by recessed parts of the knurling 31, when the shoe receiving member is fitted in the shoe receiving member fitting hole 30, and therefore the outer shape of a wheel cylinder piston 20 is not deformed. Accordingly, since it is not necessary to form a deformation preventing counter shank on the wheel cylinder piston 20, the production process can be reduced. Also since it is not necessary to mount a preventing plate of eating into a boot for blocking the deformation preventing counter shank, the number of parts can be reduced, and the production cost can be reduced.
