To provide a wheel position detection device capable of detecting that respective transmitters are mounted to which wheel without performing reading of ID information by a user, and a tire pressure detection device provided with the wheel position detection device.
The less number of trigger units 5 than the number of wheels are installed such that distances to the respective transmitters 2 are made different, and specifies that the respective transmitters 2 are mounted to any of all wheels including a spare based on a variation amount of receiving intensity of a trigger signal in the respective transmitters 2. Since variation of the receiving intensity of the trigger signal does not exists, the spare wheel can especially specify the transmitter 2 mounted to the spare wheel.
