To provide a white pigment which has a more closely pure white color and a high level of whiteness; and a resin molded product containing the same.
The white pigment is any one of two white pigments: one white pigment comprising a compound represented by the composition formula: MTiO3 (wherein M is one or more atoms selected from the group consisting of Mg, Ca, Sr and Ba) and another white pigment having an L* of 98 or more, an a* of -0.1<a*<0.1, and a b* of 0<b*<1.5 in the L*a*b* chromaticity diagram, wherein the white pigment has a (D90-D10)/D50 ratio of 5 or less where D10, D50 and D90 are their respective particle sizes at 10% cumulation, 50% cumulation and 90% cumulation in a cumulative particle distribution as measured by the laser diffraction scattering method.
