PURPOSE: To easily and efficiently insert a wick into a wick tube by providing a cylindrical member which has a proper outer diameter to be inserted into the wick tube while a hooking metal tool (tip end claws) being stored and has a proper inner diameter to keep the engaging of a wick and the hooking tools.
CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical member (b) in which a hooking tool having four or more claws (tip end claws) (a) is stored is inserted into a wick tube and a metal tool (d) to adjust the wick to be in a regulated length (6mm) is attached to the tip end of the wick tube. Then, a wick immersed in kerosene is attached to the claws (a) and the wick is fixed in the claws (a) by the member (b) and a holder (c) is pulled, so that the wick is engaged with the claws (a) strongly due to the inner diameter of the member (b) and the holder (c) is pulled as the wick and claws are kept as they are and thus the wick is inserted into the wick tube. The wick is extruded above a metal tool (d) by some millimeters and cut evenly to be in 6mm length and after that, the metal tool (d) is taken off. The work to insert the wick into the wick tube and adjust the length of the wick to be a determined length can be completed within about 2 minutes by the the pulling metal tool and moreover it is made unnecessary to hold a wick wetted with kerosene by hands and insert it into a wick tube.
