Title:
WICK STRUCTURE FOR WICK UP-AND-DOWN STORAGE TANK SUPPLY TYPE KEROSENE STOVE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002195512
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a wick structure for a cleaner and safer storage tank supply type kerosene stove by sufficiently feeding air for combustion to the combustion portion of a wick body in order to provide always stable combustion and consequently no-smell and no-smoke combustion, prevent the generation or adherence of tar or pitch and improve the values of CO and CO2.

The wick body has a structure such that a cylindrical wick body can vertically move between a wick body guiding cylinder and a wick body outer cylinder and kerosene burns in the upper end portion of a combustion chamber formed of inner and outer chimneys. A wick body expanding ring fixed to the inner surface of the wick body adjacent to the upper end portion thereof to expand the same can freely slide on the wick body guiding cylinder. The wick body expanding ring has a plurality of cut and bent-out portions formed on the outer peripheral surface thereof, by which portions it is fixed to the inner surface of the cylindrical wick body adjacent to the upper end thereof.
