Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the unstable discharge from the discharge electrode of a wick type petroleum burning device caused by the fluff of a wick by constituting the counter electrode of the discharge electrode by working part of the fixture of the discharge electrode to a prescribed shape and, at the same time, to secure the positional accuracy of the discharge electrode.
SOLUTION: A wick type petroleum burning device is provided with a vertically movable wick 3 between an inner wick pipe 2 and an outer wick pipe 1, a supporting metallic fixture 5 which is fixed to an outer fire pan 4, a first electrode 6 which is attached to the fixture 5 in such a way that the front end section of the electrode 6 becomes lower than the upper end of the wick 3 when the wick 3 is raised to the highest position, and a second electrode 7a which is provided to the fixture 5 and also works as an electrode fixture 7 that fixes the first electrode 6. The second electrode 7a is formed in a plate- like end face formed by forming part of the fixture 7 in a prescribed shape and the end face is positioned lower than the front end of the first electrode 6 on the wick 3 side so that the end face may come into contact with the wick 3 in an inclined state when the wick 3 is moved upward and downward.
