Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display numerical betting type odds information for a betting type displayable in one screen from a single to double betting type by reconstituting the odds information and a held race name for wide plasma monitor, while using the wide plasma monitor for which a display area is expanded, and displaying the data. SOLUTION: As a video output device, a wide plasma monitor composed of a plasma display panel, for which the aspect ratio is enlarged by about 1.33 times in comparison to a standard television receiver in the lateral direction of 16:9, for expanging the display are is used. A CPU part 8 temporarily stores the odds information obtained from teletext broadcasting inserted in broadcasting information in image memories 11 and 12 and the odds information is stored in the image memories 11 and 12, while being rearranged for the display area expanded wide plasma monitor together with additional information, such as the name of the race held or the time until the closing time for betting. Then, the image memories 11 and 12 are read continuously so that the still image of the odds information can be displayed on the wide plasma monitor.
