To provide wide sheet laying equipment allowing a wide sheet for various civil foundation works to be folded, stacked and transported, safely and accurately expanded in a short time, and placed on a desired ground surface.

The wide sheet laying equipment comprises means for folding the wide sheets 1 having a plurality of ring members 1a, prepared in a factory, in sequence at the lowermost stage of the laying equipment 2, inserting the ring members into corresponding openings 3I of a column body 3 of the laying equipment and constraining a plurality of L-shaped constrained member 3d in sequence with the ends passed into the corresponding ring members by using an operation lever 3a. The laying equipment on which the sheets are stacked is put on a vehicle and transported to a site of civil foundation works, where the plurality of L-shaped constrained member with the ends pulled out of the ring members are released from constraint in sequence by using the operation lever and the sheets are expanded in sequence.
