Abstract:

PURPOSE: To use a part having passed under an outward road for a return road as a sidewalk by using a belt which can be folded up near a center line as the belt used in the case where a wide width belt system moving sidewalk is turned up in order to make it go and return.

CONSTITUTION: A belt formed of two sheets of belts which have width being a half of required width and are foldably joined to obtain a required width is used for the wide width belt 1 of a belt system moving sidewalk. The belt 1 has a base board layer 12 and a surface layer 11, which are mutually laminated to form the belt 1, and the base board layers 12 are joined through the surface layer 11 in a part near a center line, and made foldable with the surface layer 11 taken as a center. The belt 1 advancing in a direction 9a shown with an arrow is bent downward by a roll 5, and after passing double rolls 2, 3, passes through a V-shaped small double roll 4a to be folded, and is completely folded up by a small double roll 4b, and after turning around a large roll 6, passes a small double roll 4c, and is returned to the original wide width belt by double rolls 2', 3' and advanced as a return path belt.
