PURPOSE: To prevent lowering of rotation efficiency of a winch drum and prevent a winch from becoming large in dimensions.

CONSTITUTION: A winch 2 is provided with; a driving shaft 10 rotatably supported by a bearing part 13 formed in a gear case 3; a sun gear 16 engaged with the driving shaft 13 and driven to rotate; a planetary gear train G rotatably supported by a carrier 18, which is rotatable coaxially with the sun gear 16, and meshed with the sun gear 16; a fixed ring gear 21 fixed to the gear case 3 side and meshed with the planetary gear train G; and a movable ring gear 22 connected to the winch drum 5 side and meshed with the planetary gear train G. In this winch 2, the carrier 18 is provided with a support part 25 rotatably supported on an outside periphery of the bearing part 13.
