Abstract:
A wind detection device (14) configured so as to be equipped with: a speed vector calculation unit (21) for obtaining a received signal of electromagnetic waves reflected by the atmosphere inside a monitoring region which includes the flight path of an aircraft (2), and calculating a vector expressing wind direction and wind speed as the speed vector of each of the cells, which are a plurality of regions included in the monitoring region, from the spectrum of the received signal; and a rolling wind detection unit (22) for selecting a plurality of combinations of two cells from among the plurality of cells for which a speed vector was calculated by the speed vector calculation unit (21) in a manner such that the distance thereof equals the length of the entire width of the aircraft (2), and detecting a rolling wind which has the possibility of causing the aircraft (2) to roll on the basis of the speed vectors of the two cells included in each of the combinations.
