Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly maintain and release operation of a semi-conductor switch for a brake circuit without using an external power source such as a battery. SOLUTION: This electric brake for a wind power generator comprises a brake circuit 10 provided with a semi-conductor switch 3 and a series resistance 4, and a control device 5 controlling operation of the semi-conductor switch 3. The electric brake is provided with a thermoelectric element 7 outputting electricity by heat generated from the series resistance 4 for the brake circuit 10 as a switch controlling power source detecting a current of the brake circuit 10 to control the semi-conductor switch 3, and an adjuster 8 adjusting the output of the thermoelectric element 7 by potential divider resistances 81, 82 and sending a control signal to the semi-conductor switch 3.
