PURPOSE: To obtain adequate clamping force by clampers on both end faces of a honeycomb body.
CONSTITUTION: This honeycomb body winding device 1 is faced each other coaxially and consists of a pair of clamper mounting shafts 5a, 5b which are rotated by driving power from a driving source 40, a pair of take-up shafts 6a, 6b which are coaxial with the mounting shafts and are engageably and disengageably inserted into the mounting shafts, the clamper 7a relatively movably screwed to the one end of the mounting shafts and the clamper 7b fixed to the other end. Screws 51a, 71a formed at the clamper 7a have spiral shapes to move the torque acting on the clamper 7a from the mounting shaft 5a toward the clamper 7b and to convert this movement to the clamping force to clamp the honeycomb body 8 from both sides.
