PURPOSE: To smoothly feed sheets to a drum or detach it from the drum by using a method in which under a condition that a flexible filmy material is closely attached to the non-printing side of a sheet, while the sheet is wound around the drum or separated from the drum.

CONSTITUTION: Under a condition that a flexible film 2 is closely lapped on the non-printing side of a sheet 1 to be printed, or the side facing the periphery of the drum, the sheet 1 is wound around the drum or separated from the drum. The sheet 1 can be uniformly wound through the flexible film around the drum without causing any wrinkle or bending and can also be separated integrally with the film from the drum smoothly for discharging.
