PURPOSE: To provide a winding squeegee roller to be manufactured in a short time, inexpensive and of long life, which can use effectively a circumferential surface of the squeegee roller and provide its manufacturing method thereof.

CONSTITUTION: A metal wire 7 is formed into a coil-shaped component 70, elastic, hollow and with its inner diameter D smaller than the diameter DD of a bar-shaped metal body 6, and force in the direction opposite to the winding direction of the metal wire 7 is applied to make the inner diameter D of a hollow section 9 of the coil-shaped component 70 larger than the diameter DD of the bar-shaped metal body 6, and the bar-shaped metal body 6 is inserted into the hollow section 9. Then the force applied to the coil-shaped component 70 is removed to install the coil-shaped component 70 in a manner of holding in the bar-shaped metal body 6 by its elasticity. Both ends of the metal wire 7 are welded or bonded, and fixed on the surface of the bar-shaped metal body 6.
