Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a window structure excellent in durability at the time of collision of a flying object that may occur during machining (for example, broken pieces generated when a work tool constituting a machine tool is broken, a fixing member such as a bolt (jig) for fixing a work tool, and chips generated during processing) by a machine tool, a method for manufacturing such a window structure, and a window unit having such a window structure.SOLUTION: A window structure 2 is fitted to machine tool and used for visually checking the inside thereof. The window structure 2 includes a resin plate and a glass plate 3 which is made to adhere to the resin plate through an adhesive layer. When a horizontal steel ball impact test in which a steel ball of φ 5 mm and 0.5 gf collides against the glass plate 3 at 120 m/s, cracks occurring in the glass plate 3 are within a range (circle C) of 30 mm or less from the collision center Oof the glass plate 3 by the steel ball.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
