Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable the formation to be easily carried out, by forming spherical projections having a coining allowance on the pivot receiving recess of a rocker arm crude member. CONSTITUTION:On the pivot receiving recess 1a of a rocker arm crude member 1, spherical projections 6 having a coining allowance at the time of cold coining are formed. The area ratio of the projections 6 to the pivot receiving recess 1a is made to be 50% or less. Thus, the coining load at the time of cold coining can be set to a lower value, enabling the formation to be easily carried out.
