Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate wiper attaching and detaching work by engaging a pressing plate overlapped on a base plate provided with an U shape curved folded-back part with an embracing means having a pressure plate on its end, providing an elastic lever on the rear end of the pressing plate and also a protrusion on the underside of an extended portion of a rotation means fitted to the U shape curved folded-back part, and making the end of the extended portion as the lever.
SOLUTION: The tip of a pressing plate 14 is a stepped bent protrusion 17a and the rear end is an elastic lever. A side stopper piece 20b of the pressing plate 14 is locked on a side groove on both sides of an embracing means 15 opening, while the protrusion 17a is made to conform to the engagement hole of a base plate 12 and a pressure plate 16 of the embracing means 15 also presses this side of a curved folded-back part 13 of the base plate 12. An engagement piece 18a and a bent piece 19a of the embracing means 15 are tightly arranged on the base plate 12 paralleling them to the recesses on the side of the base plate 12. A supporting pin for the wiper is journalled to an engagement hole 23 provided on a guide wall on both sides of the rotation means 21 and a protrusion 24a provided on the underside of the extended portion of the curved surface of the rotation means 21 is engaged with the engagement hole on the base plate 12. The engagement is disengaged by a lever 25 provided on the tip of the rotation means 21.
