Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiper link connecting rod having sufficient strength in spite of a small diameter by forming a plate section molded into a plate shape at the end section of a connecting rod main body, and arranging squash sections on the side edges of the connecting rod main body apart from the plate section.
SOLUTION: A connecting rod main body 1a is arranged at the center section of a wiper link connecting rod 1, its cross sectional shape is formed into a round pipe shape, and a semicylinder section 1b is provided on one end section side. A first squash section 1c and a second squash section 1d are formed on the outside of the semicylinder section 1b, respectively. A pair of the first and second squash sections 1c, 1d is arranged on both side edges of the semicylinder section 1b along the longitudinal direction of the semicylinder section 1b and are formed into a plate shape by press machining to pinch the side edges of the semicylinder section 1b. Buckling strength can be improved when a compressive load is applied, and sufficient strength can be obtained in spite of a small diameter.
