Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a wiping cloth excellent in water absorbance, water retentivity and wiping property and useful for a housekeeping material, etc., such as a glass without leaving a wiping mark or a water drop on the wiped surface by making a specific knit and woven cloth a superfine yarn without using any chemicals imparting wiping property to the cloth.
SOLUTION: This wiping cloth is obtained by performing processes from a fiber manufacturing process to a finishing process in manufacturing the knit and woven cloth containing superfine fibers of 0.01-0.1 de single fiber size, having ≥0.8 mm thickness, ≤1 sec water absorbing rate and ≥200 wt.% water absorption percentage by subjecting the knit and woven cloth constituted of filament yarns containing conjugate fibers able to be made of superfine yarns having 0.01-0.1 de single fiber size to a treatment making to superfine fibers without any chemicals imparting wiping property to the cloth. Preferably, the superfine fibers are polyester filaments and total fiber size of the filament yarns is 250-350 de.
