A wiping device includes: the wiping roller 19 that touches a rotatably supported intaglio cylinder 8 and removes the surplus ink of the ink supplied to the intaglio cylinder 8; a first wiping pad 32 that removes the surplus ink on the wiping roller 19 by wiping liquid by touching the wiping roller 19; a second wiping pad 33 that is provided at the downstream side in the rotation direction of the wiping roller 19; an external jet nozzle 34 and a jet nozzle 32C that supply the wiping liquid to the wiping roller 19 or the first wiping pad 32; and a jet nozzle 33C that supplies the wiping liquid to the wiping roller 19 or the second wiping pad 33 so that supply can be made to the downstream side in the rotation direction more than the jet nozzle 32C and to the upper stream side in the rotation direction of the wiping roller 19 more than the second wiping pad 33.
