An eraser 1 for a white board is equipped with four fiber bundles 2 equipped with wiping-off surfaces on the front and rear surfaces of each of the bundles. Each fiber bundle 2 is detachably held to a holding member 3. Thus, when the eliminating performance of the fiber bundle 2 lowers through being stained, only the stained fiber bundle can be changed (or reversed as the case may be). Accordingly, the change of member can be performed in low cost and is very excellently economical. Further, since the fiber bundle 2 is formed by thermally fusing double-structured fibers 11 bundles together in the state that the fiber directions extend normal to a wiping-off surface, a core part 12 keeps its shape, resulting in presenting gaps between the respective fibers 11. As a result, the erasing scum holding capacity of the fiber bundle 2 improves, resulting in realizing the longer changing cycle of the fiber bundle 2.
