To enable a wire arranging work in an extremely short time by providing grooves for fitting each covered wire therein at a specified pitch at an end of a groove which is adapted to fit therein the outer cover part of a communication cable and which is provided on the surface of a tool.
The end of an outer cover 11 of a communication cable 10 is stripped off to expose each covered wire 12 (12A-12H), then an outer cover part is pushed and fitted in a groove 2 of a tool body made of plastic by finger. Thereafter the wires 2A-12H are pressed and spread in correspondence with the positions of grooves 3A-3H and further pushed therein so that they are fitted therein. The pitches of the grooves 3A-3H are made corresponding to the required pitches for the connection. By slowly pulling out the cable 10 from the outer cover 11 part which is fitted in the groove 2, each covered wire 12 fitted in each groove 3 is also pulled up to thereby provide a communication cable whose wires are arranged at a specified pitch. Since the tool has grooves for fitting therein each wire 2 by finger, it is easy to release the mold from the die.
