Abstract:
PURPOSE: To widely extend the life of a wire brush and sharply improve the quality of a machined surface by electrodepositing super-abrasive grains only to the tip sections of wires in a teardrop shape.
CONSTITUTION: Super-abrasive grains 4, e.g., cubic system boron nitride abrasive grains, diamond abrasive grains, are electrodeposited only to the tip sections of wires 3 of a wire brush while being buried in a plating layer 5 and firmly connected to the wires 3. The hardness and the abrasion resistance of the tip sections of the wires 3 serving as tips when used for the deburring work can be sharply improved, the machining capability of the wire brush is improved, the quality of the deburring-machined surface can be improved.
