In a wire delivery device receiving a wire drum 9 in a hood 2 and pulling a wire 10 delivered from the wire drum, in an outer wall 3 of the hood, an extending/contracting means 5 is provided, to connect thereto a wire stop arm 7, it is made capable of advancing/retracting in the hood. The extending/contracting means 5 is arranged a little in wire delivery direction this side from the uppermost part of the hood, the wire stop arm 7 is extended toward an axial line O of the wire drum 9. The wire stop arm 7 is formed by a soft urethane sheet. A wire drawer and the extending/contracting means 5 are electrically connected, simultaneously with stopping the drawer, the wire stop arm 7 is protruded in the hood 2, the wire 10 delivered by inertia from the wire drum 9 is brought into contact with the wire stop arm and stopped.
