PURPOSE: To house a wire surely in a recovery case after being bent as well as to make a machining stop due to a short or the like in mechanical parts preventable, by installing a wire bending device in a device position recovering the wire after discharge.

CONSTITUTION: A pinch roller 21 and a hoist roller 22 are attached to a setting lever 25, held to a electrode support metal 26 freely by a pin 27, and furthermore attracts an electrode wire 5 inward so as to sandwich it by dint of a tension spring 28 at a tip of the setting lever 25. And, they are so designed as to be synchronously rotated with a hoist roller 11. When the wire 5 is hoised by the pinch roller 21 and the hoist roller 22, it is provided with nicks 29 by each cutter 24 installed in these rollers each, so that the wire is surely bent by these nicks 29 in consecutive order at the time of being housed in a recovery case, without any wastage, therefore it is in no case brimmed over from the recovery case 12 and, what is more, such an unexpected situation as a short or the like in mechanical parts is no longer entailed there.
