PURPOSE: To ensure the adjustment of clearance between a fixed edge and a rotational edge which is carried out to cut short used wire electrodes from an electric discharge machine.

CONSTITUTION: In a cutting device comprising a fixed edge and a rotational edge located on the rear side of the direction in which wire electrodes are fed by a pair of rollers 15, 16, the fixed blade 27 is installed at the tip 28a of a fixed table 28 with an eccentric installation pin 29. A notch groove 31 is formed on the fixed table 28 so that the tip 28a can be displaced in the approximately rotational radial direction of the rotational edge 33. A clearance adjustment screw 32 for changing the size of the clearance in the notch groove 31 is screwed between the tip 28a and a base 28b.
