Abstract:
To provide a wire feeder of a welder capable of preventing a welding wire from being pulled out of a spool more than necessary even in a simple structure.
This wire feeder of the welder has a shaft fixed to a feeder body so as to project in the feeder body, and the spool rotatably supported so as to slidingly contact with an outer peripheral surface of the shaft and winding the welding wire, and performs welding work by pulling out the welding wire wound on the spool. Frictional force in a contact surface between the shaft and the spool is set so as to immediately stop rotation of the spool by rotational inertia force against the rotational inertia force of the spool generated by pullout force of the welding wire caused by the welding work.
