Title:
WIRE FOR FISHHOOK AND PRODUCTION OF FISHHOOK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06108205
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce a fishhook excellent in wear resistance and corrosion resistance by subjecting a wire rod made of a high alloy with specific composition to solution heat treatment and to cold wiredrawing, forming the resulting wire into a fishhook, and then performing precipitation hardening treatment.

CONSTITUTION: A high elasticity alloy material having a composition consisting of, by weight, 7-35% Ni, 6-25% Cr, 7-45% Co, 3-12% Mo, 0.2-1.2% Ti, <0.20% C, and the balance Fe is subjected to solution heat treatment and then to cold wiredrawing into a fine wire at ≥60% draft, and this fine wire is worked into a fishhook and subjected to precipitation hardening treatment at 500°C in a nonoxidizing atmosphere at 500°C, thereby, the fishhook excellent in wear resistanec and corrosion resistance can be produced.
