PURPOSE: To surely fit a rope end and a wire rope to a drum by providing a support face to press the member width of a tape end support member into the elliptical hole width of the drum and support the rope end.

CONSTITUTION: A rope end 9 is inserted through the large-diameter hole 6 of a drum 8 to move an elliptical hole 11 in the left direction, the end rope 9 is moved to the winding start position 12 of a wire rope 7, the rope end 9 is supported on a rope end support face 13, a rope end support member with a support face 1 is inserted through the large-diameter hole 6 to move the elliptical hole 11 in the left direction, the member width (a) is pressed into the elliptical hole width (b), and the member width (a) is made larger than the elliptical hole width (b). The rope end 9 is supported on the support face 1, the rope end 9 is prevented from entering into the drum 8, the wire rope 7 is prevented from moving toward the large-diameter hole 6, thus the rope end 9 and the wire rope 7 can be surely fitted.
