Title:
WIRE ROPE WINDER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS55145968
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To wind neatly and lengthen thereby life of wire rope by pressing the incoming point of rope into the winding always toward the drum shaft using a pressing means and by leading the incoming wire positively toward the center of drum.

CONSTITUTION: A roller 16, which rotates around a shaft 17, presses the incoming point 11a of a wire rope 11 always toward the shaft 12 and shifts in such a way that this pressure against that incoming point 11a of the wire rope 11, which moves longitudinal direction of the shaft 12 with progress of winding the wire rope 11, is held properly all the time the wire rope 11 is being wound on the drum 13, where the roller's shaft 17 is displaced in oval holes 14a, 14b outward the drum's radial direction in compliance with the increase of the winding's thickness against the above-mentioned pressure given by springs 19, 20. Thus a winding of the rope 11 is obtained neatly wound without any gap between turns. This regular winding contributes to lengthening the life of wire ropes.
