Abstract:

To provide a wire spool allowing accurate measuring of remaining amount of wire wound around the wire spool, in particular, a covered wire in cooperation with an external magnetic sensor.

This wire spool is provided with spool walls 40 on both sides and a spool body including a spool drum 30. The wire 1 is wound on the spool body as N-winding winding. A bar magnet 10 is fixed in the spool body, and a reed relay 20 which is the magnetic sensor in which the bar magnet 10 acting is provided by opposing to the bar magnet 10 across the wire winding. A mounting position of the bar magnet 10 in the spool body is a position where line of magnetic force along the magnet 10 is substantially parallel with the direction of winding onto the spool drum 30 of the wire 1.
