Title:
WIRELESS BASE STATION, COMMUNICATION METHOD, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3863792
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless base station capable of enhancing the accuracy of directive pattern formation in the case of communication between a terminal station employing the individual UW (Unique Word) system and a terminal station employing the common UW system by using the space multiplex system.
SOLUTION: The wireless base station stores different codes whose number is equal to the number of terminal stations capable of space multiplex communication, sequential numbers, and information indicative of whether or not each code is in use in cross-reference with each other, wherein any code differs from a prescribed common code except the code of the lowest order, and when the wireless base station receives a link channel setup request or a re-request from a terminal station (S01, S02), the wireless base station discriminates whether the terminal station is a common UW station for transmitting a signal including the common code or an individual UW station for transmitting a signal including a code notified by the wireless base station (S03), the wireless base station instructs the individual UW station to use a code not in use and in the highest ranking (S07, S08), instructs the common UW station to use the common code, and allows the respective terminal stations to control the antenna directivity by using the respective codes (S09, S11).
