To provide a wireless communication device capable of suppressing useless power consumption at a partner wireless device.

A transmission output reduction means 18B at a control unit 18 notifies a partner wireless device 2 of a transmission output reduction instruction with a reduction instruction period tc. Accordingly, reduction of the transmission output is instructed, even if a received field strength Rs is controlled within a reference range by transmission output control operation. Consequently, reduction of transmission output is attempted at the partner wireless device 2.
