To reduce the power consumption of a terminal by restraining the size of the circuit scale of the terminal.
In this radio communication terminal 201 (A) that includes: a radio reception part including a filter for extracting a signal of a specific frequency from a signal received by an antenna, and an A/D converter for subjecting a signal to digital conversion; a base band part for demodulating a signal by dividing the signal on a frequency basis; and a control part for controlling the operation of the radio communication terminal as a whole; and communicating with a base station 200, by using, as a channel, each slot obtained by dividing each frame of a time band into a plurality of slots for each of a plurality of carriers divided by the frequency bands, the radio receiving part receives, from the base station 200, notification that allocation has been determined, to a channel which is set inside a sub-frame limited to partial slots continuing on a time axis within the plurality of slots; and the control part operates the receiving part, in partial slots corresponding to the channel set inside each frame in a time band, in response to the reception of the notification by the radio receiving part, and stops the receiving part in the other slots inside the frame.
